Rick Stephens President
Formerly in senior positions at The Newhall Land and Farming Company, The Koll Company (Los Angeles) and Cadillac Fairview, Rick started Kemper Real Estate Management Co. in 1992 as President supervising a $2.0 billion portfolio of Kemper/Bedford properties. He later assumed the responsibility for the orderly disposition of all of the $5 billion Kemper Corporation Real Estate Assets.ZKS was formed in 1996 after Zurich Insurance acquired Kemper Insurance and, as President and Owner, Rick directs the overall asset management of the remaining Zurich Real Estate Assets ($500 Million) as well as our other major client companies. He also directs the development of new projects that ZKS is building for its own account. Rick is a graduate of Cornell University and holds an MBA from Stanford University. He is a ULI and WPO member and also is a Policy Advisory Board Member for the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics at the University of California, Berkeley.
