ZKS Real Estate Partners was
originally formed on March 1, 1996 to manage the orderly disposition of the
Zurich Life Insurance Company’s $5 billion real estate portfolio. Begun in
1992 by Kemper Real Estate Management Company, this process continues today.
Many of the senior staff members from Kemper Real Estate are part of the ZKS
Real Estate Partners team.
The principals of ZKS have a combined 75 years of real estate experience
handling a diverse and remarkable array of real property assets. Former
associations of the principals include: Kemper Real Estate Management Co.,
The Koll Company, Cadillac Fairview, RREEF, The Newhall Land and Farming
Co., IDM Development Co., Piedmont Realty Advisors, Consolidated Capital,
Bedford Properties, WinShip Properties and Cabot, Cabot and Forbes.
ZKS Real Estate Partners continues to build its real estate asset
management business. We have grown to include new institutional clients like
The Carlyle Group, Westbrook Partners, MetLife, Apollo Real Estate Advisors,
and
Pacific Coast Capital Partners. True to our roots, we
continue to manage Zurich Life and Kemper Insurance real estate assets
valued at more than $500 million. At ZKS, we are also actively pursuing
investment and development projects for our own account.
While the San Francisco Bay Area is our focus, we handle assets all over the
West. Headquartered in Walnut Creek, CA (in the San Francisco Bay Area) ZKS also has dedicated staff in Chicago and Los Angeles.
